CDM 2015 AWARENESS 

Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) have been in place for over 30 years, but some businesses still find understanding them and translating them difficult.  How are the regulations applied to smaller projects, domestic Clients of the self-builder? Who can be the Principal Designer, what happens if the Client doesn’t appoint one? All these questions are covered in an easy-to-understand way, that’s appropriate to the nature of your business.   

Aim:

At the end of the course all delegates will have a better appreciation the CDM regulations and their application. Practical advice will be given on how to achieve legal compliance within your company, and across the projects involved. 

Who should Attend:

The course is designed for anyone in the construction industry from Clients, Principal Designers, Designers, Principal Contractors and Contractors. Those wishing to understand more regarding the duty holders and their responsibilities under the law.

  • CDM 2015 – what changed?

  • The Principles of CDM  

  • Overview of the CDM Duty holders including Client, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor. 

  • Competency Requirements 

  • Design Risk Management 

  • Site Risk Management 

  • Notifiable Projects 

  • On-going compliance – the H&S File 

Duration:

3-4 hours.  Held at a location of your choice.  

NOTE:

At the completion of the course delegates will be given a certificate of attendance.  This course is not accredited.
