The course is designed to raise awareness and develop understanding about the dangers of asbestos, why it needs to be controlled and how it must be managed in business premises.
Fire Awareness + Marshal (Warden) Duties
The course is set up to provide an appointed Fire Marshal (sometimes referred to as Warden) with knowledge of the hazards and risks they may face while carrying out their duty, the precautions and actions they must take to keep themselves out of danger in the event of a fire.
Legionella Awareness
The course will help develop knowledge and understanding about managing water systems within premises to protect the occupants and public from exposure to airborne water droplets contaminated by legionella bacteria.
Mental Health Courses
At Safety For we can provide a number of Mental Health First Aid courses; half-day, 1 day and 2 days courses. These are delivered by Jim Evans, a qualified member of the MHFA community. All of your courses are accredited by Mental Health First Aid England. Let’s help bridge the gap between mental and physical first aid and wellbeing.
Resilience- Stress Awareness
The course is designed to explore understanding about work-related stress. It considers human factors, the demands made in the workplace and other work factors that cause people to suffer ill health.
COSHH &. PPE
The course is designed to learn and develop understanding about hazards and risks associated with using and handling substances classified as hazardous to health, while also exploring how control measures will reduce risk of exposure and what part PPE plays in achieving control.
H&S Awareness in the Workplace
The course is designed as an introduction or induction for new employees and those people starting work for the first time. It can be of value to anyone who wants to increase their knowledge and understanding about the purpose of occupational health and safety and the legal framework built upon the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 (HSWA).
Lone Working
The course talks about lone working activities or situations where a worker could be at risk. It outlines different ways employers and employees can manage lone worker risks.
Premise Management
The course will help develop knowledge and understanding about maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
Working at Height
The course is designed to provide knowledge and understanding about access equipment to ensure workers can use ladders and stepladders competently and safely.
DSE/ Workstation
The course is designed to learn and explain about the hazards and health risks associated with using DSE. and exploring how assessment, selection and set up of workstation equipment will reduce risk of ill health.
H&S for Directors and Senior Managers
The course is designed to address any gaps in knowledge and understanding of the employer’s general duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HSWA) and the implications of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007.
Manual Handling
The course seeks to widen delegate’s knowledge and understanding about manual handling operations and the working activities or situations where a worker is at risk of injury. The course touches on what to do when hazardous moving and handling task cannot be avoided and describes the dynamic assessment of tasks and what can be done to reduce risk of injury.
Risk Assessment Awareness
The course is designed to raise knowledge and understanding about the role Risk Assessment plays in protecting people from danger, harm or ill health when they are at work and also protecting other people who may be put at risk by an employer’s work activities.
As an approved CITB organisation, we also take the hassle of claiming grants back for your delegates. When attending our courses, CITB levy payers can claim back towards some of the cost of the course.
