DSE / WORKSTATION

Using DSE is an essential work tool for significant number of working people in the UK.  But it is not just the PC or laptop it is all the other things that go to make a DSE workstation.  Getting the set up wrong or not using DSE sensibly can lead to health issues later down the line.  Not many employers have faced prosecution for not implementing DSE Regulations.  However, many have had to settle compensation claims for failing to follow DSE guidelines.

Aim:

The course is designed to learn and explain about the hazards and health risks associated with using DSE.  How assessment, selection and set up of workstation equipment will reduce risk of ill health.

Who should Attend:

Anyone who routinely uses a DSE workstation and those responsible for employees who use DSE.

Course Outline:

• UK law and DSE Regulations 1992

• Definition of DSE

• Health effects and likely causes

• Risk Assessment process, and improvements and other measures to reduce risk

• Dynamic changes in DSE technology and new ways it can be misused

Duration:

2-hours.  Held at a location of your choice.  This course can also be conducted using either Zoom or Teams applications.

At the completion of the course delegates will be given a certificate of attendance.  This course is not accredited.
