Fire Risk Assessment

What does the Law say?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person in any non-domestic building or premises the public has access to, to carry out a building fire risk assessment and take all necessary steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of fire.

Non-domestic premises are defined as:
• all workplaces and commercial premises
• all premises the public have access to
• the common areas of multi-occupied residential buildings

A Fire Risk Assessment is a legal requirement. If you are responsible for a building of premises that aren’t a single private dwelling (a private home), you need to make sure a suitably competent person completes a Fire Risk Assessment.

How can Safety For help?

Safety For can survey your property to evaluate any potential fire hazards.  The written fire assessment will highlight any fire risks in your property and make recommendations on how to make your premises safe; giving you peace of mind that you are keeping people safe and complying with the law.

Our reports follow the recommended advice and approach of the PAS 79 document, developed and published by the British Standards Institution (BSI).

We understand that all premises and companies are different, therefore we tailor all our quotes to fit each customer’s needs.
