H&S Awareness in the workplace
CITB have introduced a new initiative called the Employer Network simplifying the way levy paying employers can access funding for training support. Training can be undertaken in anything that supports construction employees and can be online or in person. The scheme has reduced time consuming applications and can result in significant savings for the employer, with 70% of course fees being paid directly by CITB. Course:
The Health and Safety at Work Act etc 1974 has been in place for the majority of most people’s working lives. It has even slipped into everyday language. How often do we hear someone say, ‘you can’t do that ‘cos of health and safety’? The law has been ridiculed by some because it has been misapplied by others. The Act may be thought to be old but law makers consider it to be, ‘still fit for purpose’. What is its purpose? To prevent death, destruction, mayhem, pain, suffering, misery, loss and grief.
Aim:
The course is designed as an introduction or induction for new employees and those people starting work for the first time. It can be of value to anyone who wants to increase their knowledge and understanding about the purpose of occupational health and safety and the legal framework built upon the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 (HSWA).

Anyone who is new to the world of work. Anyone in the workforce from director downwards.
