CITB have introduced a new initiative called the Employer Network simplifying the way levy paying employers can access funding for training support. Training can be undertaken in anything that supports construction employees and can be online or in person. The scheme has reduced time consuming applications and can result in significant savings for the employer, with 70% of course fees being paid directly by CITB. Course:
To provide a ‘place of work and a working environment that is, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health’ are some of the general duties stated in Part 1 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The requirements to meet these duties are detailed in the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. Some exceptions are covered by separate legislation, e.g. work on a construction site, on or inside a ship; and at the bottom of a mine
Aim:
The course will help develop knowledge and understanding about maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
Who should Attend:
Anyone responsible for controlling premises, managing premises or planning maintenance, employees undertaking caretaker or other premise maintenance activities.

• What is involved in the management of premises?
• Essential knowledge and information about premises
• Sources of H&S information and guidance
• Practical skills
• Systematic and pragmatic approach to managing your premises
Duration:
2-hours. Held at a location of your choice. This course can also be conducted using either Zoom or Teams applications.
At the completion of the course delegates will be given a certificate of attendance. This course is not accredited.
