  • Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (Leading to CSCS Green Card)

    This course is aimed at people starting out in the construction industry and can be used as part of a company induction process. It can also be used to gain your level 1 award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment - your first step towards gaining your CSCS Green Card.

  • Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)

    A course designed for those in any industry that are responsible for the use of Lifting Equipment in the workplace, this could include Supervisors or Managers.

  • Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)

    Providing an overview of the lock out / tag out process. It starts by describing what a lock out / tag out system is, detailing its purpose, and what it involves. The course then moves on to the types of hazard exposures that might require lock out / tag out, and follows this with a look at the laws associated with lock out / tag out, and the responsibilities that you, and your employer, have under these regulations. Finally, it sets out a six-step process you need to follow to ensure a safe lock out / tag out.

  • Manual Handling

    An awareness course covering what constitutes manual handling and covers the regulations and legislation that apply to manual handling tasks. It then goes on to cover safe handling techniques and how to develop good habits in relation to manual handling. It finishes off by introducing some practical solutions and the use of mechanical aids.

  • Personal Protective Equipment

    This course will show how wearing PPE plays a crucial role in preventing and reducing fatalities, injuries and diseases that would otherwise occur in the workplace. Discussing the wide range of PPE options, the legislation and regulations that govern the responsibilities of employers, employees and suppliers, and provides a real-life case study showing the law in action. It also covers risk assessment and the role it plays in the selection and use of PPE along with discussing other hazard control measures that can be implemented.

  • Preparation for CITB Touch Screen Test

    For candidates who have completed their Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course and want to review the key learning objectives and prepare for the CITB touch screen test with a 50 question test in the style of the touch screen test.

  • Provision and Use of Work Equipment (PUWER)

    An introduction to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, otherwise known as PUWER. This course explains the purpose of PUWER, the types of equipment which fall under this legislation and the responsibilities held by both employers and employees. The course then looks at the hazards associated with using the work equipment, exaamples of guarding and the requirements with respect to inspection and maintenance.

  • Slips, Trips & Falls

    Introducing some of the statistics relating to slips, trips and falls and dispel some of the myths surrounding them. It also touches on the law as it relates to slips, trips and falls. It contains real examples of where things have gone wrong and some practical steps that could have been taken to prevent these incidents.

  • Working at Height

    This course covers topics including the dangers of working at height, the regulations, the hierarchy of controls, assessing risk and much more. Please note that this is an awareness course only, if your duties include working at height you will also need further practical training, you can get in touch with us to arrange this.

  • Working in Confined Spaces

    An awareness course designed for people who need to be aware of the hazards and risks of confined space working but are not required to enter a confined space. Please note If you are required to perform any work activity in, or in the proximity of, a confined space then you will also need to have an 'approved' standard of practical training at the 'appropriate' level.

  • Working Safely

    A great induction course in relation to health and safety as it covers a wide range of topics in some detail. Most of the examples relate to the construction industry so this course is perfect for people starting out working on a site for the first time.

  • Working within the Private Security Industry
